The picture attached herein is our recent trip to the Big Island of Hawaii January 2009. We were visting the Lava Flow Steam Shelf at the National Park on the Hilo side of the Island when the picture was taken. We also saw the lava tubes, but due to windy conditions, we could never get close enough to see the actual lava flow as it entered the water. Our kids were too young to take the boat tour, and we didn't have the extra $2,000 to spend on a 20 minute helicopter tour for the five of us. Maybe next time ;)
